At DareMe, accessible from our mobile application, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy document explains the types of information collected and recorded by DareMe and how we use and protect it.
1. Information We Collect
When you use DareMe, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you register or sign in (via Google Sign-In or Email), we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
- App Usage & Progress Data: Information regarding your habits, streaks, daily challenges, and group interactions. This data is securely stored in our cloud backend (Supabase) to synchronize your progress across devices.
- Device & Push Notification Data: Device identifiers and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens required to deliver motivational notifications, reminders, and streaks.
- Purchase Information: If you purchase subscriptions or in-app items, transaction IDs and subscription statuses are processed to unlock premium features. DareMe does not collect or store your payment card details. All transactions are processed securely through Google Play Billing.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain DareMe core features (challenges, streaks, group activities).
- Personalize and synchronize your experience across your devices.
- Send you reminders, streak alerts, and critical account notifications.
- Manage subscriptions, token balances, and in-app rewards.
- Display non-intrusive advertisements (via Google AdMob) for free-tier users.
- Monitor app stability, fix crashes, and optimize performance.
3. Third-Party Services
DareMe partners with trusted third-party providers that may process information under their respective privacy policies:
- Google Play Services & Google Sign-In: For secure authentication.
- Google Play Billing: For handling in-app purchases and subscriptions securely.
- Supabase: For encrypted cloud database storage and authentication session management.
- Google AdMob: For serving advertisements.
- Google Firebase (FCM, Analytics & Crashlytics): For delivering push notifications and tracking app stability/crashes.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion (Your Rights)
We respect your right to control your personal data:
- In-App Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (streaks, challenges, profile) directly within the app at any time by navigating to Settings → Delete Account.
- Request Deletion via Email: If you cannot access the app, you can request full deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us at support@daremeapp.uk. Your request will be fulfilled promptly.
5. Children's Privacy
DareMe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information to our application, please contact us immediately so that we can promptly remove such information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We advise you to review this page occasionally for any changes. Continued use of DareMe after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
